Out-Of-Home and Ambient Media
Out-of-home (OOH) advertising or outdoor advertising, is also known as out-of-home media or outdoor media. This is advertising that, unsurprisingly, reaches consumers while they are outside their homes. Generally thought of as billboards and other large scale media, but it can include smaller placement options. Think mass transit wraps and highly creative guerrilla type marketing.
